Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels

It’s football season, which means it’s time to buy stock in cream cheese and tortilla chips — two staples in my game-day snack menu. I whipped up these little guys in no-time and they paired perfectly with a Stella and a Bears jersey!

I served these alongside some fresh guac and hawaiian bread with dill dip for perfect snacking. I made these in a hurry during commercials of the game, so I didn’t get too many pics. Sorry about that!

Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels

1 package cream cheese, softened
4-ounce can diced Jalapenos, drained
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls

Mix the cream cheese, jalapenos and sugar in a bowl.

Unroll the crescent rolls, and separate along perforation so you have two separate rectangles. Roll each rectangle slightly so you have two complete rectangles, and the triangles that make up the rectangles are no longer showing.

Spread half the cream cheese mixture on each triangle, and then roll into a log.
Cut each long in half, then in half again, and then in half again, so you’re left with 8 pinwheels for each log. Bake at 375˚F for about 13 minutes, or until gold brown.
